Britain's suffering economy has been over exaggerated


Barry Sheerman argues that the state of the British economy has been blown out of proportion.

During the debate on economic affairs and work and pensions on June 8th 2010, Barry Sheerman drew attention to a Samuel Brittan article in the Financial Times ('Now is the time to ask: What crisis?' May 20th 2010), which states that the British economy is in a far better state than "most of our competitors" and that Britain's financial state is being over exaggerated.
