On June 3rd during the Business, Innovation and Skills debate, Barry Sheerman argued for the expansion of manufacturing exports and protected manufacturing industries, including the need for apprenticeships and working with universities in order to facilitate this. Mr Sheerman also highlighted apprenticeships as "an essential building block" for the country.
